The Manydown Butchery is the heart of the Farm Shop. Staffed with highly skilled butchers trained in the traditional art of butchery we endeavour to give our customers a friendly high quality service.

On his farm in Mortimer only 12 miles away, beef farmer Peter Miller nurtures his herd of Pure Aberdeen Angus cattle.

Resident shepherd
Charlie Smith is Manydown's resident shepherd and regularly supplies the shop with lamb. Along with the help of Connie, Charlie's fabulous sheepdog, he works tirelessly to maintain the highest standards for his flock.
The sheep are grazed on the farm's two hundred acres of permanent pasture. Giving them the open space, fresh air and nutrient rich pastures that our great Hampshire countryside provides. Carefully hung on site and cut with Manydowns highest standards of care and knowledge.

Plantation Pigs
Our pork is from Plantation Pigs, a farm just over the county border in Surrey, who rear free-range, traditional breeds.
The traditional slow-growing breeds combined with a healthy outdoor life and nutritious feed produce succulent pork of a superior flavour. We doubt you will find happier pigs or tastier pork.

Packington Poultry
Our chickens are from Packington Poultry where they enjoy the highest welfare standards. Flock numbers are kept low, enabling the highest welfare standards to be implemented.
The birds are reared in a healthy, stress free environment where they are free to roam thirty acres of traditional English pasture and woodland and feed naturally from their surroundings.
They are fed the finest maize and omega3-rich corn. This ensures the birds grow healthy and strong and will deliver a superb natural flavour.

Award Winning Sausages
Manydown’s master butchers hand-make all of our sausages and has been extremely successful at many competitions, winning countless awards and certificates for his craft.
This past year the Basingstoke Banger won a Great Taste gold award, whilst the cumberland sausage and the honey roast sausage both won Hampshire Fayre gold awards.
