Farm Shop - Quality with Care Print E-mail

Manydown Farm Shop was established in February 1994 as a retail outlet for beef produced on the farm. Since then lamb, free range chicken and more recently black pig bacon and sausages have been added to the home produced product range.

The shop is managed by Terry Tarrant who has been involved in the retail meat industry throughout his working career. Terry attended Smithfield College as a key part of his formal training. He and his Team have developed the business and enhanced the reputation of the shop. The shop is able to offer a wide range of high quality fresh meat, game and cooked meat products. Farmhouse cheese and Cottage Delight products complement this variety of quality products. Sausages, black pig bacon and hand made pies have all been recognised in National and local competitions.

In December 2007 we introduced a comprehensive selection of fruit and vegetables to compliment our quality range of fresh food.

We are committed to provide our customers with a range of high quality meat reared on our farm to the highest production standards, which are socially and environmentally acceptable. We provide high standards of customer care and try to make your shopping with us an enjoyable experience. Our cheerful shop Team are happy to supply your needs, however small. The convenient parking is an additional benefit.The farm is a leader in farmland research and many of the conservation farming systems advocated today were pioneered at Manydown. Our customerscan be reassured that our production systems are tuned to protect the countryside and its wildlife. Our livestock is reared to the highest standards of animal husbandry and welfare and are accredited by RSPCA Freedon Foods.

Quality is our philosophy and the whole team realise the value of that quality from stockman to counter, thus we can meet the service levels required by you, the customer.

Minimum standard- 21 days matured
Joints on or off the bone - steaks, mince, pies , sausages, burgers.

Manydown Lamb
Minimum standard -5 days matured
Joints, chops, mince, pies, sausages.


Manydown Free Range Chicken
Whole, 1/4s fillets, pies.

Manydown Black Pig
Bacon - green or smoked, gammon, sausages.
